Scientific Name

Xerochloa imberbis

Description

This perennial grass has narrow leaf blades and grows to around 60cm tall.

Its flowers are green and solitary.

Rice grass flowers from April to October.

It grows in areas with low soil moisture.

Distribution

The plant grows from around Cardwell in north Queensland to the Northern Territory border.
